HP working through us? Maybe

(((MIP Friends)))

Things in my life are moving along at a calm and steady pace at this time; which has been really nice.  Everything is still up in the air financially.  I have done everything I can do at this time to get myself on a better path of financial freedom, now I just have to let HP handle the details and the outcome and remain accountable.  Work has slowed down since the kids are out of school; which is a welcomed break before August rolls around.

My AH hit 60 days yesterday and appears to be doing pretty well in his program right now.  I feel like I'm growing more and more each week with program but also in my home.  I have been spending more time with MIL and FIL since the boys aunt has been helping me out with the kids during the week.  MIL went to her first Alanon meeting with me last week and she went to AH's open AA meeting Saturday night.  FIL hasn't had a drink in 11 days and that in itself is a miracle.  He backed out of going to the AA meeting which did not suprise my AH or I.  I don't think he's ready for program yet, but we'll see what the future holds.  Could this be HP working through us?  MIL says she just wants to live a life of happiness and peace regardless of what happens to her husband or her son.  I pray she keeps it up because she's a great lady and she's worth it.

Just taking everything one day at a time these days and honestly I can't complain.  Things are not perfect by any means, but it could be a whole lot worse.  Our sponsers basically told us both that all we can do with our families is try to be an example and share E,S, and H with them but not to push them.  So I'm just praying that HP can work through us in hopes that we all get recovery in our lives.

Thanks for listening, have a wonderful evening everyone.

peace,
Twinmom~

Good. I'm really proud of you girl. I'm really proud of how you're handling yourself and how things are going. I'm also proud of how you're standing on your own and asserting yourself.
Keep it up. and please keep us posted.

The awesome part about recovery is the more you give it away the more you get to keep it.

By sharing your e, s, & h and just by living a healthy example you are sharing your recovery with many, many people.

Thank you for that and for being a part of our MIP family.

Congrats to AH for 60 days - that is an awesome accomplishment.

Glad you are taking care of you

Wishing you Serenity & Joy,
Rita

Aloha TM!!  Feeling like you are living the miracle?  Super post, need to hear the successes.   Any there isn't any maybe about this recovery thing.  This is a 12 step program and the 12th says, "Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these steps, we try to carry this message to others and practice these principles in all our affairs."   "You can't keep it if you don't give it away" is a fact!

I love hearing about family who are experiencing miracles.    Dang!! good for you and your alcoholic and family.

Have a ((((((Hug))))))
