Feeling Good

My boss and I went to a meeting and on the way back he asked me what I wanted to eat for lunch, more specifically, what type of food. I told him Japanese. When we got back to the office, he told everyone in the office I was high maintenance. I calmly said, "No, I am just a woman who knows what she wants" and I walked away. I don't know where my response came from, but it felt really good.

i like that! He asked, you answered honestly. He could have suggested somewhere else, but he didn't. When he said "high maintenance", that sounds like something my boss would say just to be funny and I would probably say something like, "you better believe it!" and laugh. Sounds like you didn't think he was being "funny", so you're answer was great - and you walked away.
