I was journaling in the middle of the night the other night when I couldn't sleep. I came up with this poem:



If I just had me
how nice it would be
Not to fret and worry
over another.

If I just had me,
I might hug a tree.
The tree would grow
and provide me shade
to sit and contemplate...

If I just had me
how boring life would be.
I need friends like you and me.

If I just had me
I'd find time to be a friend
and have a friend to be.

If I just had me and Thee
isn't that just how
God intended it to be?
