Well, the first day of school went well, although a class I really needed was cancelled and I'm trying to pick it up online at any other community colege in the state at the moment so my timeline stays on track. Otherwise I feel confident I will do well in my other two classes and one of them opted to only meet 2 times a week rather than 4 and do the other 2 online so that means I will only have to work 2 hrs. on my day off to make up rather than a full half day.
I have been thinking a lot about how things happen and what they mean. I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason. As long as we pay attention and follow the signs we will get to where we are supposed to be. Here's my logic on this personally. My A wanted to move to NC because he couldn't stand the dry heat in Colorado anymore soooooo I got to live in a beach house without working for six months. Then I got this job that I love with a great boss who is totally flexible because I would be leaving him four months later. He got arrested so that I would realize that I am completely on my own and so when I looked online for the jail number I would see the job that paid 4 times what I'm making to spark the thought of going back to school. I have to be uncomfortably poor in order to motivate me to that goal... My friend the nurse practicioner needed to go to the beach with me that day to tell me that I could get a masters in 2 more years without any medical background and still reach the goal of doing that job that I aspired to. Now here I am back in school and racing toward that goal but it wouldn't be so without the flexible understanding boss. I think it's funny when you look at all the things that had to fall into place in order to make something happen and you have to see then that it isn't all chance, that all of these things with a little bit of paying attention and willingness to work are laid into place in specific order and timing. The right people the right place at the exact right time. I know I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing.
