I lit a candle for my mom, beside her picture, as she has been passed away now for over 8 years. I think of her almost everyday,, something triggers a memory in my daily life and I smile. Happy to have had the time on this earth to be with her, and like a flower in our master's garden she bloomed for many years, then a soft wind came,and took her away. She is at peace now, and if I know her she is doing the "polka" as she loved to dance. I will be going into my garden and listen to the birds, dig into the earth, and plant some flowers, and I will smile, as I will remember only good memories I shared with my mother.
Happy Mothers day and ((((((hugs)))))) to GG and her mother. Mothers day is probably one of the most appropriate holidays ever. A celebration of something so pure as the one who gives us live and nurtures us.
I am so glad you have found a way to celebrate you Mom's life.

What a lovely way to remember your Mom. My Mom loved to garden. I unfortunately have a brown thumb, although I do a mean herb garden. I think of my Mom everyday too. I've always said that if I could be 1/10 as good of a person as she was, I'd do okay. I think I'm getting there. I'm sure your Mom is looking down at you and smiling. She was lucky to have such a wonderful daughter.
