here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
If you have an opportunity to attend a convention, I highly recommend it. This was my second convention and the experience just keeps getting better. I spent the weekend with 300 fellow Al-Anoners, socializing and attending workshops and panel discussions, as well as marathon meetings.
Most importantly, I was surrounded by folks who, although they may not have known me when I arrived, already knew me and loved me in a special way--as a fellow Al-Anon. It was almost overwhelming to feel totally accepted by so many strangers who knew my story before they heard it because they had lived it in their own lives in one form or another!!
I can't tell you how peaceful I feel and what a renewed sense of serenity I am enjoying this evening. I hope that each of you is blessed with the opportunity to experience the same thing!!

I am happy to hear, SLS, that you had the opportunity to attend this convention. You do sound relaxed and serene, and that's the idea!! Good for you. Take those feeling with you all day, and tomorrow, and the tomorrow after that. Fabulous!

That's awesome - so glad you had a great weekend. LA State Convention is in July - I can't wait!! This will be my 3rd one to attend - like you said, the speakers, workshops, meetings and fellowship is so unbelievable. Words can't describe it.
