I found this a few years ago and copied it and hung it on the kitchen cupboard. You know how you do that and then it becomes part of the scenery and you really don't pay attention to it anymore. I was standing there finishing a cup of coffee yesterday morning and it grabbed my attention and after re-reading it I finally really "got it" and thought I would share it here.
Row, row, row your boat has all the "secrets of life" in it's few short verses...
Row : You gotta do SOMETHING, you can't just sit there.
Row, row: must be important, it was said 3 times.
Your boat: can't row anyone elses, no matter how hard you try. You'd proabaly capsize if you did.
Gently: This doesn't have to be a harsh trip. Be good to yourself.
Down the stream: If you are rowing, you're looking backwards. You can only see where you've been, but you are moving forward, even though you can't see into the future. Don't try to go back, the past is the past.
Merrily: Have fun! Life should not be a drag.
Merrily, merrily, merilly: Said 4 times, must be important.
Life is but a dream: "Thoughts held in mind, produce in kind" or we bring our reality upon ourselves. Dream good dreams.
