My AH, who happens (thank HP) to be sober for the time being, is on his way to PA to pick up his sister. Yesterday she passed out drunk while home alone with her 15 mo. old daughter. When her husband called the police to find out what he should do they came to the house. She called this morning asking for help. I don't know what will happen between them, but I hope she has hit bottom and is looking to my AH for guidance. Her husband asked us to keep her as long as we can. What a mess.
You'll have to use your skills here, looks like. Just remember, THEY aren't the only people with needs, and rights. You have some too, and it is not being a witch to look out for them.
Great news...My SIL has decided to go to intensive outpatient therapy, and into marriage counseling with her hub. It was quite the tumultuous weekend, but I truly believe that my AH and I helped her and hub tremendously...thanks to AA and Alanon. Babysteps
