I haven't been onsite here in some time......past month has been all about me and my cancer diagnosis. Last week i had a masectomy....all pathology looks good and there will be no need for chemo or radiation. Getting back to life with a little less stress of all that change/fear/choice is the tiring struggle now. Divorce,back to work, addicted boyfriend,recovery his and mine.....this has been a hell of a two years. One day at a time has become one second at a time.....letting go and letting god has become a nessecity, not and idea.....
Sadly recovery/addiction issues have not gone away. My partner former alchoholic/drug user has been strong in his program(i thank god for AA) and he's been wonderful in so many ways, but still self centered and selfish despite my increase in needs. I have reverted so much to old ways, see my codependent behavior clearly, so frustrated to be in that dynamic, but i am weak and tired by all this and it is so hard to keep myself together. All things considered, i am ok....i am aware of my reactions and just let them be for now. I try not to hate myself because of them. He is not about to relapse and goes to meetings every day and has others calling him to make sure he is ok. My support system all around me.
I reflect on the past 6 months of changes and will always be thankful for the life saving love and life changing experience sharing that i got here.

Well you know you must take care of all you are told to. Stress is a thing that needs to go goodbye. i am sure this has changed how you look at everything. I am sad you had to go thru this.
Do you have a good support system? In other words, ya got lots of face to face hugs, flowers and soft blankies??? Please be so tender with you.
