This weekends Mip athon was awesome....I admit I was so tired...lol I stayed up all of the first night. Went to bed at 8.30am. I was just so amazed by what I was seing..The people in the room were totally honest....And It was people from every recovery group.....I clicked with them all, right away....I was in Ally mode....Laughing with them....Sharing experience, Strength & Hope......We are all from different backgrounds, family's, Cultures etc.....I heard a saying last week at a f2f AA meeting......"We all came in on different ships, but we're all in the same boat now" WOW....I loved that saying.....
Well done to everyone who shared at the meetings.....I was honored to be of service, and work with you all..
A big thank you to John aka (((Opsy)))) and Rose...for making it possible....
This is something that if possible, shoud occur on a regular basis...I for one as an OP, would be willing to take part in it....Like an open meeting, every once in a while....
Thank you all for teaching me...Life does NOT go according to plan.....We have to keep working it....Focus on us....And work with what we have been given....
Yes Ally, iwas in the mip athon alot over the weekend and thought it was AWESOME too! I got to hear so many heartfelt shares from differnt ppl who r dealing with similar situations and who are growing stronger on a daily basis because of these wonderful programs and the great support from the people here,I agree we should have these athons more often, wish i could be of service but i have an old pc and dial up, which doesnt allow me to do much lol, but i am GRATEFUL to have 1 so i can come here and grow, listen to others and hopefully lhelp other people by being supportive and being there to listen, give tthem a shoulder to cry on etc.
