Checking in to invite you all to the celebration of my 28th anniversary of continuous membership and service in the Al-Anon Family Groups. Took the suggestions and followed thru. It doesn't get much better than it is right now. I have a HP that is so HP!! I have a sponsor that stays on my level and is human with lots of great experiences and growth to share when I reveal my situation and ask for feedback. I have a home group, Wednesday night turning point AFG in Hilo. I have a couple of sponsees that seem to be working very close to being normal guys. I have a couple of other meetings that I attend pretty regularly and gazillions of recovering freinds that fall all over each other loving it up and supporting each other. I have a wonderful wife and a third marriage that has lasted longer than the 2 before it. (We are both in program and work it as a part of our lives individually and together) Got a house, yard, truck (old) and car (new) on retirement and with a business...yadda yadda yadda. If I wasn't so happy (inside job) and having a great time I'd say this condition was a result of something chemical or anything outside of myself. It ain't!!
Read the promises in the closing to all of our face to face meetings and keep coming back one day at a time and heck it's happened to a ton of us. I got no body to manage today but me and God's got more of that than I do.
I am grateful I have been allowed to keep coming back into the rooms cause it doesn't get much better than this!!

Congratulations!! I look forward to my 28th Al-Anon birthday--I am beginning to see the promises come to fruition in my life and its been only two years. I can't imagine how wonderful it will be 26 years from now, if I "keep coming back" and doing the work "one day at a time." Thank you for sharing your E, S & Hope!!

What a wonderful and inspiring post Jerry! Congratulations to you and Happy Birthday! It is always wonderful to hear positive things and you are walking evidence of the success of being devoted to the program and devoted to oneself. You are a true inspiration!

sorry for being a little late. i wanted to share that that date, feb 8, 1979, is special to me, too. HP brought you to this life you now have, and in turn, gave you the ability to help me in service. Thanks for being there for me and posting kind words, sage advice, and all the experience strength and hope that has helped me overcome the sickness in myself.
