As you all know, my AW is my qualifier Anyway, My AW, my 3 daughters were all together with me.
Today has been fantastic, no drama, no resentment, no mood swings, nothing but love.
I did not obsess or overthink anything today.
Marriage Counseling was great Open AA meeting was great Dinner was great Video Rental at Blockbuster was great We get to go to our weekend house up in the Mountains tomorrow and play in Snow
Even when I snapped at my Ex-Wife, she did not fight back, and she openly accepted my immediate and sincere apologies.
I am just so grateful for the blessings of a wonderful day from my HP
I'm so glad you had a great day. You deserve it. Well done. But here is a question for you? Why is it us Al-Anoners are SCARED of having a great day. (lol). I have had two brilliant days with the person in my life, and Im really scared to admit it. Why do we await the big black cloud returning. (lol).
Is It true we are so mixed up emotionally, mentally and spiritually, we don NOT know how to be happy and stay happy. I was walking about for two days smiling, and I saw the affect I had on people. They were returning my mood, and I loved It. I felt so alive and NORMAL for the first time in years.
Who said the Alcoholics were the ones with the problem. (lol)
Thanks for sharing....a wonderful sounding day. I have had them...and it always feels like such an accomplishment because I know we both are trying to put our negative reactions aside. We do it because we love ourselves and each other. Feels good to be able to apologize and have it accepted easily! I always feel a little sad too tho because why can't it be like this more often?! But you are right that we are emotionally and psychologically sooooooooooo confused. I am.
That's why our 1st step is accepting that our life has become unmanagable....beyond our control....so when a day in our life turns out good, we have accepted that we didn't make that good day happen just as well as we can't make bad days happen.......so we just give thanks to our HP for chosen a good day for us for a change..... Thank you HP......can I please have some more
