An Update - Not, perfect... Making Progress

Thank you everyone for coming together and creating this safe, supportive community. I am learning a lot, and I am feeling better.

Releasing myself from attempts to control others and from the guilt of not being able to control others has in itself done so much for me. I feel more whole and more hopeful even though not much else has changed.

I am taking a small vacation this week over a long weekend by myself & am so grateful to have the opportunity! I am me, and I am enough.

Breathing - good for you that you see your own progress! I hope you have a lovely time on your vacation...

Your username here always makes me smile....when I went to my first F2F meeting, and was greeted kindly and with genuine acceptance, I recall inhaling deeply....then I sat there stunned at how long it had been since I'd done that. I truly had not been breathing properly for a long, long while and just getting to a place with others who really understood was a step forward for my recovery.

Enjoy and keep coming back - it does work when we work it.
