Happy day!

Today I am moving some of my belongings from my home with my A to a condo near my son.  I will be living half the week (in another month or so), apart from my A.  She is currently working a program and making progress, but as I cannot predict the future nor control it, I have taken steps for ME!  This is a huge step and I'm sure without program, I would not have had the courage and strength to do this.  I also think that my marriage will either get better, or not,  & it's way overdue to figure out which direction we will go in. It is a very happy day for me, Lyne. Thanks everyone biggrin

Hey Lyne - self care looks GREAT on you!!! I am reminded that when we focus on us and let go of 'the rest', more is always revealed! Hoping your moving is uneventful and as stress-free as possible.....I am one who can get really wound up with a move - sending you positive thoughts and prayers!!

Good morning Lyne, I am so happy to hear that the transition is unfolding as you planned.

Positive thoughts and prayers on the way.

Yeah, I love this, detaching enough from your wife but with love, love of her and love of yourself to do whats right for you, for your serenity, your peace. I hope your wife continues in her own journey towards peace and serenity.

Great post Lyne and thanks for the memory.  In early Al-Anon I was encouraged to adapt the idea of not doing recovery "for" her but doing it "with" her.  This sounds like what the old timers were telling me.   Thanks ((((Hugs)))) smile
