A gift, from Alanon...

The greatest gift Alanon offers us is Lois, and each and every one of us...

and each one of us matters so much, so please keep coming back.

In 2011 A*** and I took a train north of New York and came to the woodland town where Lois Bill and hundreds of others once lived. We were the only visitors to the house and grounds that day.

We were met at the station by a seat-of-your-pants taxi operator in a private car. His young son was in the front seat. But being a kiwi I loved that and tipped him. [We don't tip in NZ.]

In the house I poured buckets of tears. My A*** at last saw what Alanon had done for me and came over to my side. And she has bin there ever since, thanks be to God!

I bought a copy of this movie from the Wilson's own garage.

For me I had idealised Lois and Bill as my own mum and dad. They weren't perfect- especially not Bill!

But at the house I came of age. I realised that I was not the only kid they had. Being there made me realise that I was a part of a big family.

A family I could drop in on in most any part of the world!

And y'all are welcome to drop in on our meeting here in NZ. Any time!

so if you are sitting there, at your wits end, or just counting your blessings, this movie is a gift to all of us-

aww enjoy!

A sweet and generous gift, thank you.  I wonder if I can download this to my IPAD?

aww Lois, I think, was the original sweet and generous gift.

And I find this too amongst our members, everywhere.

Betty is away having a well-earned break, I was missing her, and I turned to Lois for comfort and strength. smile
