Favourite Quotes....

I stumbled across a new quote that is now among my "recovery" favorites....

"You don't have to attend every argument you're invited to." - Author Unknown....

I think that one speaks volumes, and it made me smile today.

Tom

p.s. My "favorites list" would now include:

What you think of me is none of my business.
Words can be used for two things, and two things only - to build up, or to break down.
I did the best I could with what I knew at the time.
Try Al-Anon for six meetings.  If you are not 100% satisfied, we'll gladly refund your misery.
You don't have to attend every argument you're invited to.

Anyone else care to share some??

Well it's not an official Alanon quote but I heard this one recently:

"Just because it's warm, that's no reason to keep rolling around in it!" (author unknown)

A few other favorities of mine :

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results (Albert Einstein)

Martrydom is spelled with a D-U-M-B (author unknown)

Your mind is a dangerous place - don't go in there alone! (unknown)

We are only as sick as our secrets (unknown but I think it's out of one of our Alanon books)

A few of my favs are:

"Obsessive turned upside down becomes determination"
"God only makes happy endings, so if it's not happy~it's not the end"
"I can either be sad because roses have thorns or happy because thorns have roses"
"Faith is trusting in God when we just don't understand"
"Faith is closing your eyes and opening your heart"
"Life is not measured by the number of breathes we take but by the moments that take our breathe away".
and last but certainly not least......

Keep it simple stupid:)smilesmilesmilesmilesmilesmilesmilesmilesmilesmilesmile
