The ODAT reading  for 3-17 (Saint Patrick's Day)speaks  to the truth that many times the difficult situations that we face  often bring out our hidden assets such as our courage, patience, faith and ability to rely on others. The reading suggests that when we share our Losses and triumphs with each other we gain courage
It is suggested that  we must be very gentle with ourselves,, develop patience and know that ODAT all things pass

The quote states: I am equal to what life presents When i use the 12 Steps, 12 Traditions and the slogans

hope all have a great day today,,,cloudy an rainy here ,plans are to stay inside maybe even finish up on some projects I put on hold for long time,,,,,,hugs lu

Thank you LU for the daily, your service and your share. It's cool here, but dry - which is welcome! Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!

Before recovery, I spent much of my time focused on the disease and the diseased and all that was so very broken. This state of constant negativity truly brought me down. It has been my experience that working this program as best I can brought about a changed attitude, outlook and reality.

My brain still at times wants to go 'back there' yet I know now that sharing my concerns with trusted program friends or my sponsor helps bring 'it' the the daylight where it's easier to see that it will pass and I will be OK. Off to a meeting shortly - make it a great day all!

Good Morning LU and IAH I love this gentle reminder  that all things do pass and if I continue to show up with the courage, serenity and wisdom I receive from practicing this program, I am able to accept life on life;s terms.

Happy St Patrick's day to all.  Thanks for your service

Good afternoon all and thank you Lu for your service and all for ESH. I really appreciate this reminder today that : This too will pass" and any attempts on my part to speed it up will fail. I have to say that in working to keep my sanity in this last week of turmoil has resulted in our house becoming extremely clean. With a relapse and 3 milestone birthdays on the Calendar it has been intrresting. RAH had his 3/4 Sunday and we were supposed to go out for dinner and AS had a slip so plans changed to the remaining family coming to the house and we ordered in. It turned out well and everyone enjoyed the ribs. Now A'S birthday and mine both come up on Tuesday. I just have no desire to try an outside celebration right now so I have bought the fixings for a home cooked corned beef dinner and have invited the family to join us. Tomorrow will be tomorrow and if everyone shows up we will have Birthday cake, if not we will have dinner with chocolate cake for dessert. Thank goodness for the sun today, the snow is melting and puppy and I can go for a nice walk.
