When will I learn

I've been slowly building evidence of my husband's drinking problem and looking for a way out. I'm a stay at home.mom with no access to our money. However, things have gotten to the breaking point. Yesterday I had a Dr appt and he said the kids could stay home with him while I went. However, he was drink and passed out for the next 5 hours so I took them to Dr with me. He woke up and didn't even wonder if he had the kids, where they were.. tonight he's on a major binge. When will I learn not to fight with him when he's drunk and belligerent? He was saying terrible things and I told him to "f off" he went to our room and followed him to tell him this is exactly the problem. He stumbled in the room and tried to catch him. He slapped me in the face and said "always in the way f***g idiot". He laid down and was immediately out. He will not remember it at all. I guess im going to have find a lawyer even tho I have $0 to my name

((Isthisreallife)) I am so sorry that this has unfolded in such a painful manner. Please do search out alanon face to face meetings and in the US, we have a  legal aid society and  abused women groups that can help with legal council .
Please do keep coming back here as well
