First face to face al-Anon meeting

Just wanted to share I went to my first al-Anon meeting today And so glad I got past the nerves of going I felt warmth and understanding and I feel it has lifted some of the isolation I was feeling and already I can recognise a lot of what Iāve been doing Which hasnāt been helping my situation and I have created a lot of my unhappiness through resentment and anger talking today as already released some of my built up anger and worry itās good to talk to people who understand and donāt judge. Today as been a good day for me and I know Iām now on the right road of helping myself to recover I really do feel my spirits have been lifted and that can only be a good thing I will be attending again

Thanks for sharing about your first Alanon meeting Jlilley. It's great that it was a positive experience and has given you hope for your future. It works when we work it! ((hugs)) TT

Lovely share Jlilley!! So, so glad you found your courage and made it to the meeting. Also, so glad you feel less alone ... I can so relate to that. Keep doing what you're doing and keep hanging here too - the whole program did help restore me to sanity. (((Hugs)))
