working around the house

My abf continues to remain sober, by the grace of god! He finally is moving his body and helping me clean the house. He put in hardwood floors in three bedrooms and we are cleaning each room out and reorganizing everything! What a huge job its is but its keeping us both very busy and focused on the task. We work together very well as a team when we work on projects around the house. Its been great in fact. I however, received bad news from my doctor today, something still remains abnormal with my heart and that I can no longer take anti-depressants, until I see the heart specialist in November. I worry as my anxiety goes through the roof when I am not on the medication. And as well, I had been going for one on one therapy, to deal with trauma work related to my PTSD and that work has to slow down, until after I see the heart specialist. The way the doctor explained it my heart issue, is the ECG is abnormal and she wants to just have the heart specialist verify everything is ok. I am not to have a lot of stress, until after I see the specialist. I am sure everything will be ok, and I am not concerned at this time.

Today, I am just grateful for sobriety in my home and being able to de-clutter and reorganize my life. To me, getting rid of junk is such a freeing feeling and having a lighter load feels great! Its like I am moving out of my house!

I am just grateful that today, there is sanity in my home! How long will it last, I do not know. I just have to take the good as it comes. The bf and I do not share a bedroom, as I snore. I have a wonderful bedroom now, all cozy and de-cluttered and I just love it. All the hard work has paid of. I am so grateful!

Joker-I wish you the best of luck with your heart issues. I hope everything will be fine. Can you be on a wait list for a sooner appt. if someone cancels? I think people are supposed to wean off anti-depressants and not stop suddenly. It can give a person headaches or strange feelings. Check with your doc OK?

You sound like you are strong in your recovery and I say Bravo! ODAT, right? Lyne

Joker - sending you positive thoughts and prayers for your health! Glad to hear that today is better! After all, that's what we have - this day and the present only. (((Hugs)))
