Hello everybody, hope all is having a great weekendsmile

im working on how to manage my time,

seems I spend way to much time on one thing when I should be spending my time elsewhere,

if that makes sense, this is a everyday issue in my life,,I start on one thing stop and go to another thing never really finishing anything, well I do finish some things,

feeling exhausted at end of day,im working in circles at a slow pace,

my new bf may be my hang ups on getting anything done .......ha...time to slow down, redirect myself,

hugs going out to my alanon family,

also,I need and want to be at my mip morning meetings, missing a lot here,,,,back on track ......

Hey LU - good to see you! It happens....I am also guilty of being easily distracted. I just do the best I can, accept I am imperfect and am always grateful for the do-over, one day at a time! (((hugs)))

Hi LU Seeing what we are doing that hurts us, is certainly a positive recovery awareness. It means we are no longer in denial or blaming others and pointing fingers of blame .
Love the alanon slogan in your signature. I do try to keep :"doing the next right thing".

hi Looking up
I do very similar things. I try to use that part from the just for today poem "just for today I will have a program. I may not follow it exactly, but I will have it. I will save myself from two pests: hurry and indecision". So when I have an unstructured day where I want to complete some things I make a list at the beginning of the day of what I would like to get done and then I tick things off the list. When I find myself distracted I go back to my list. Sometimes I amaze myself with what I can get done. Other days I'm satisfied with a small amount ticked off. I have this long unruly to do list at work but I find looking at it all at once overwhelms me and I get a lot less done. So I pick a few things off that list and make a list for just one day at a time. That list seems more manageable and it feels good to get something done. That's all the ESH I Have on the topic. Thanks for sharing!

Oh I can relate to time management...My OCD, I have to get on here several times a day instead of maybe once or twice....youtube surfing several times a day to make SURE I didn't miss that movie or docu when it will stay on the board for at least several hours.....oh yea....i need to set boundaries on ME....recovery,  am and pm  do LIFE inbetween.....youtube   am and pm, download what I want...and do LIFE inbetween......i got off practicing that and i feel like I am a mouse on a treadmill.....thank you, dear fellow recovery mate for bringing this up....you are not alone
