As you know my AS has been in and out of the hospital all summer wirh health issues associated with alcoholism, and it has been pretty progressive. So today was the follow-up after the hospital stay. My spouse had a bad feeling about things. So, her numbers aren't good. She will need a blood transfusion again and her numbers are not improving as they should, even though she's doing everything right. They are putting her on the liver transplant list early. Reason being: she needs a new liver within a year. The doctor doesn't believe she will be here in a year without it. It's been very shocking to me and painful- after all of this, getting sober, getting her life right and doing everything she's been told, she still could lose her life if we can't find a donor in time. We told close family tonight. It's been an emotional night. I'm trying to stay positive and relying on my HP like never before. Please keep us in your prayers during this difficult time.
