Plans for the day

Good morning all

As I don't have to put my Superwoman outfit on today to run the world, I thought I would take a ride into town. Have a nice little wander about. The sales are on do I might spot a lovely bargain for myself.

I am wearing my smart yet comfortable shoes. Love love love comfortable shoes. Having spent far too long jamming my feet into uncomfortable ones.

I have discovered an excellent and reasonably priced range of shoes, boots, sandals that are just right for me. Thank God. Supportive to my feet and a perfect high heel.

I enjoy looking after myself and my comfort. I deserve it.

Have a good day all. Thanks to good orderly direction and my al-anon program.

I have been learning how to pray. To speak to God. All very new to me. I would be pleased to hear ESH about how to do it. I feel a little nervous to make prayers up. I am good with ones already written but unsure on wording my own. Thanks.

Good morning Calm Lady - sounds like a lovely way to spend your day! I worked professionally for years, and believe my feet have paid the price! I too am all about comfort and my feet appreciate that.

I am golfing in 30 minutes, then going with a friend to her Doctor's appointment to give her a 2nd set of ears. After that, I intend to work for a bit and watch some baseball tonight! Sun is shining and my dog has already taken me for a long walk. We talk to God the whole way and listen to christian music....I love starting my day that way!

Make it grand - enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

Your plans sound lovely, IAH.

I like what you say about talking to God as you walk. I will try that, think in terms of talking to God rather than praying. That sits more comfortably with me.

Jerry (here) pointed out to me that I need to change that from talking to God to talking with God! I am working on listening and meditating more as his suggestion was truly spot on! It's to be a two-way conversation for the best spiritual axiom!!

Make it as great as you can!

Thank you. I will try that. I will talk with not to. Two way conversation is much nicer.

Hope you enjoyed your day yesterday.

Haha, love this. I have taken off my super woman outfit too. sometimes I put it on without even realising it and voila my life is unmanageable. Enjoy your shoe shopping, I also like comfortable shoes but I also like high heeled sexy kind of shoes, so comfortable with a heel but hot is the ultimate in shoes for me. Enjoy your day.x

I usually pray in bed. Like a conversation with my father having never known one, but imagining he's all knowing and all loving and always on my side. And added bonus of omnipotence and perfect wisdom. Lol. But formal prayers make me very uncomfortable. My three year old-- I attempted to pass on my grandmothers teaching of saying grace before eating-- she refers to formal prayer as "_saying the control". " mummy, we have to say the control ". I guess she's clear on her own good orderly direction, huh.

Betty and her beach!!! I can almost see Betty conversing with HP while enjoying the sand, the surf and the gentle waves all glowing in the lovely sunshine of the day!! LOVE that visual.

I add a bit of humor to my mornings because I have this rescue dog who just absolutely acts as if this is the best day of her life when I start moving! She lovingly and unintentionally distracts me before I fully awake. But - it makes me smile and grateful for my life. When I open my eyes most days, I have these lovely large brown eyes and lovely large brown nose looking at me with extreme excitement and pure joy to be alive....she makes me chuckle each and every day and I enjoy starting the day with a chuckle - even before coffee!!

So - my first moments often involve a quick chat with her followed by chasing down her breakfast. I tend to thank God that I am alive and ready to serve another day. As a double-winner, I truly never ever thought I would live this long and so am grateful when I wake each morning. I never want to forget where I came from and how far I've come. So - my serenity prayer and personal dialogue start while she is eating and I'm waiting for coffee.

I tend to use the 3rd step prayer too as we begin our walk and carry on from there. I will admit I so enjoy my morning routine that changing it up can affect my mood, attitudes and serenity!

We've walked this morning and are set to get the day going. We are expecting some storms later this afternoon and while it may affect softball for tonight, we do need the rain! Make it a great day all! (((Hugs)))

Good Morning!

As soon as I get in bed at night I start a conversation with my hp with a gratitude list for that day. I try to list a minimum of 10 things I was grateful for that day. Sometimes I can go way past 10, and some days if I am grappling with it, I will repeat things from the day before that I am STILL grateful for.  I then move to prayers that my qualifiers will turn to hp for guidance in their lives.

When I wake up, I ask for guidance and patience for the day; I usually have to repeat that often!

Wish I was heading to the beach today, but still might enjoy a dinner on the water front of Lake Ontario. I love living near a body of water.

Wonderful Friday to all of you,   El

Sounds awesome El - I so wish I lived closer to water/beach.....there is something very majestic about seas, lakes, oceans and all their glory!

Grateful you are here with all of us - moving forward....One Day at a Time!

Thank you all so much for sharing your esh on praying. I rather like the idea of it behind a gentle two way chat in the quietness of a walk or laying in bed.

I felt nervous about it as I had thought it was a serious formal thing, like when I was growing up. It isn't at all. It is for my comfort and contentment.

Thank you, IAH, El, Betty, A41, El Cee.

I live near the coast too. I am very blessed. Lovely area.

I will let praying grow in me in a way that comes naturally to me.

AH unwell today, I was able to be comparative but not enabling. Serenity continued.
