I was blessed to celebrate my 50th birthday w friend & family. My sister & bro in law drove about 900 miles just to be here for me. They surprised me. What a special visit! Some of my al anon friends helped greatly & did things for me that I had trouble doing for myself. Gifts & cards in abundance. But it easy wasn't about the gifts but about who was there & the fellowship. I am so grateful for everyone who was there. I felt loved & spoiled. 50 is the best! My husband wanted to do the food &bought the cake & ice cream. My mom was here too. She paid for half the cake. So glad there were more family members than I expected. I have no other family here since my mom moved down south. Most of my family lives down there. So grateful. I had expectations I won't lie. I wanted perfection. I got just exactly what I needed. God did what I couldn't do myself. One more thing. I got flowers from my special friends& roses from my husband. My cup runneth over.
