My Dad in a nutshell

I miss him especially today. He was my hero in the end. He made me laugh & even made me cry. He was the saver of my sanity. He knew what I needed even hugs. He dropped everything to visit me in the hospital when no one else would. He smiled & his face lighted up. He wasn't always there but he made sure that we had food on the table & a place to live. He worked hard for over 33 years at the same job. & I admire him for that. Love him love him love him. I am finally getting peace after his passing. He died over four years ago.

Lovely tribute Kathleen Thank you. Your Dad's smile sounds like my Dad's-- it was precious.

Lovely, lovely share! I am so happy to still have my dad - he can't hear me well on the phone so I have to yell but he's still with us!!! I am flying them home for Christmas this year (if they are around still in December) for their 60th wedding anniversary present. He makes me laugh and is a joy to be around.

Grateful for having recovery to see the imperfect people in my life as they are - flawed but trying!
