Courage to Change 11-27

The C2C reading for November 27 speaks about being a survivor. It points out that we have faced many troubles in order to be where we are today.
We must acknowledge that we are more than our troubles. We are human beings with dignity  and with a wealth of experience, that we can use for sharing it with those who are going through similar circumstances.

With Al-Anon tools we need not fear the challenges of the future, because the other today with the guidance of our Higher Power and the strength and knowledge gained from Al-Anon is capable of facing anything life may bring.  I can attest to this

We may not want to utilize the tragedy but  now we can see it from a different perspective and  we are stronger persons as results .  If we choose to regard everything that happens in  life ass a gift from which I can learn and grow we will be able to face life unafraid. Today we should be able to look for something positive hidden with a difficult situation and become grateful.

Quote is from Charles Beard; "when it gets dark enough you can see the stars".

Thanks Betty - a great read for today...there are parts of my life that still baffle me today but this reading reminded me that it is what it is and more will be revealed.

I love the 'when it gets dark enough you can see the stars.' - spoke to me today as I am struggling a bit with some relationship things....

When I remember that I'm not alone, I am a survivor and I've gotten through worse things in the past, it seems easier/more manageable.

Good to see you - thought maybe you were still visiting!!! (((Hugs)))

For me personally I call myself a "thriver". The scars on my face only show what happened to me on the outside. The inside,my self esteem was much more damaged. I have learned that just surviving is not enough for me. I want to live life and enjoy every moment

I needed to hear this today. Especially the part about finding a positive hidden in a difficult situation.

Thanks for sharing this reading today! I can normally see positives and understand that this is only PART of my journey, and not the be all end all. I know that HP has a plan, but sometimes I just wish I could be shown all the cards right now. I am impatient to get through the crap to the good stuff! lol At least I believe there is good stuff to be had still!

Fear- not acting from a place of fear is one of my greatest struggles. I am only starting to be able to recognize when I am acting from fear rather than faith.
