the power of change

It was just eight months ago when I started this program.First,I decided,in my despair, that I no longer wanted to live the way I was living.Living with an alcoholic had left me devastated.I cried myself to sleep, woke up in the night filled with panic, and thought of suicide.I picked up the phone and called a crisis line,I made an appointment with a therapist and started my recovery. It has been an uphill battle, but I decided change was necessary, however frightening.I started making small changes, when I got the rewards of those it gave me the courage to keep going.I decided to go to college, and today,I am getting ready to move into my own place.I purchased a home and I am so excited and filled with wonder at how far I have come.Thank You all for being here for me.
