Sad...very sad...and angry and concerned

For my native brothers and sisters and wishing I was with them up on the Mountain as they stand for our native culture in solidarity while the police and state arrest the young and old who protect our Cultural Spiritual sites.  Mauna Kea the sacred mountain considered by so many the center of spirituality being disrespected and destroyed by people who care only about their own wants and wishes....God is that not the alcoholic personality?  I cannot be there because of the recent physical problems and because the last time I resisted this "disease" I was beaten and arrested by the police and today my recently operated on head would certainly be the end of it...plus my wife isn't a Hawaiian National and she doesn't like being married to one and having to go bail me out...again.  I'm so sad I cannot almost breathe.  I can use the program on this because so much of the behaviors are as unjust as what we go thru in alcoholism.  I can use the program on this because my HP offers me hope and I can see it though its difficult.  These people and good people, my people, Hawaiians who live by spiritual principles just as Al-Anon does and are controlled by many who do not.  The court recently declared that Hawaii remains a free Sovereign Nation and yet we are being arrested and jailed and ruled against by foreigners with money.

This is yes a vent and yes a personal expression of sadness and anger...It is also a prayer.                                           Aloha Piha....bleh

It strikes me that capitalism and imperialism are both still "isms" huh?

Jerry, I think most Americans (and maybe others too) are wholly ignorant about Hawaiian Nationalism. I feel so ignorant, as you are the first person to even make me aware there were these issues. I stupidly assumed all Hawaiian people were peachy keen to be part of the US....shows what I know...

I also know you have a program to help you deal with the horrible reality of "This is not right and not fair." That happens in life a lot sadly. Our program does help us live life on life's terms.

(((Jerry))) - I too am ignorant about Hawaiian Nationalism but feel very bad if any person is denied the right to express spiritual freedom as taught and practiced for their entire lives.

May all affected find peace and those who rise up against realize their wrongs.

We're with you in spirit!

It's sad that big government including your Governor Ige will not take heed to the people of Hawaii and keep the Cultural Spiritual sites sacred. TMT will get their telescope and the land will never be the same.

So sad......... I'm sorry

I feel you jerry and applaud the efforts of all who stand for what they know to be true. You've passed on your knowledge and example, more than can be said for my own. We are at best the bridges for past and future, I believe others will cross later. Take heart, and know peace. Aroa, Edna.

I had heard of this today, and think the telescope is great, but the site selection not. Mauna Kea is a beautiful, peaceful ans sacred place, and I would hate to have that thing there.

And I'm sorry you can't go and protest, but I'm happy you are taking care of yourself and prioritizing. Sending positive thoughts your way.

Kenny

So sorry you cannot be there! I hope you find comfort knowing that others are fighting this battle in Hawaii and similar battles across the country.

There are many ways to fight for what we believe in, and I think that raising awareness of an issue is as important as dealing with the physical consequences of open resistance.
