My sponsor isn't let it go either ... LOL.  I'm glad however I swear there are just not enough hours in the day.

It does force the issue of me attending my one meeting a week .. it is way way way to easy to get out of the groove on that one.  I can tell the difference when I go and when I go and when I don't .. it makes me a little off kilter especially when there is such great opportunity to learn something new.  I was blessed to be one of the contributors at the rehab facility this week for Alanon Family night.  Boy oh boy .. always so much pain.

Something that the last weekend's speaker said was about the subject of anger.

Resentments are things I couldn't get my way about in the past.

Anger is about things I can't get my way on in the present.

Fear is things I can't get my way on in the future.

All have a common denominator and that is things I can't control.  That's my spin not the speakers.  It really rang true for me though when I think about the issue.  Boy did it break it down for me in terms of what I will be focusing on for a 4th step.

When I am at peace with all of those things I am truly at peace and I find serenity no matter how fleeting it feels oh so good.

I really like the H.O.P.E. acronym which is Hang On Pain Ends.  This too shall pass, don't worry if it's ok it will pass, if it's bad it will pass.  It is one big cycle.

Hugs S :)

Love this share Serenity I also think that anger, resentment, and fear are a product not only of the things I cannot control but also where I want to force my will .

The 3rd Step is very important for me each day.  I also appreciated  the "HOPE" analogy

Ohhh yes .. the force of will because for me that is all about control .. I know best .. I know how it will best work. I'm trying to control and force an outcome.
