one day at a time

It's been more than a week since I found out the guy I was dating cheated. It's been hard not talking to him. He calls and texts me that he loves me and that it will never happen again...but Ive heard those lines before. Everytime I think I want to talk to him I remember the lady knocking crazy at the door and all the words she said. It hurts to be lied to but if I would have stayed I would have lost my sanity and serenity. I've reached out gone to meetings and I am starting a new step 4 focused on this man and a few other things I need to inventory. Since I've been in program this is my 3rd 4th step. I'm grateful for this program and I'm never going to graduate from this program. And that's ok. My ever progressing life shows me that I'm going to be ok. And the program shows me I don't have to go through life alone. I have the program, friends in the program and my HP and for that I am very very grateful :)

Thank you for sharing your process with such honesty and courage texasgal.

I too have found I will always need this program and am grateful for it. Loved how you are processing this situation and learning from your past experiences. That is what program is all about.
Glad you are here

That is a brilliant attitude. You took the risk and entered another relationship, no easy task for us damaged by alcoholism, it didnt work out and i suppose whe  you think about it there will never be guarantees with anyone, you didnt cling on, you accepted and let go. So many positives in how you have dealt with this. Your pretty inspiring and gutsy. Thanks for sharing.x
