Was there and watched the miracle...

of the culture of giving, helping and I was sooo delighted to watch that I laughed at it happening.    Needed to share this with my MIP family.  I had to get to the VA clinic to get some support. While I was there I discovered that the parking lot was full for both the Hilo Hospital and the Va with the exception of one person getting ready to leave.  "I want that spot"!!  I thought so I got to the space while the driver of a pickup truck was leaving it and attempting to do it easily which wasn't a given because it was full and he would have to manipulate to get out.   And then I got to watch the driver of a van parked next to this truck...light up his engine and manipulate the van in, out, back and forth in order to give the exiting driver the chance to leave.  In my culture I define Aloha as "generosity of spirit" and here I was watching it full on.   This is enabling and being helpful outside of my disease and I was overjoyed to sit there and watch this elder local create freedom for the other driver.   I loved it so much I started to laugh and when It was my turn to take that space I looked up at the driver who was also laughing...enjoying the help and support and enabling he just participated in.  We both laugh and in my language I told him "Good"!!  (Maika`I) and he said something like its a "We" thing.    Made my day.  Gave me a demonstration of honest and proper enabling and encouraged me to do it myself.   Did I think of the program?  I always do think of the program and look for examples that revealed how I was supported and enabled by the generosity of spirit (aloha) of the Al-Anon Family Groups starting in Fresno Ca.,   I'm sure this is going to last me for a while and encourage me to continue doing the same.

Thank you HP for the show.   (((((hugs))))) biggrin

Hangin' lose in Hilo, what a blessing to see the spirits of people just helping each other, and then delighting in it!

That just made my night, thanks for sharing Jerry!

Kenny

Aroha it is David.  I loved the attachment.  Who to come after us living Aroha but kii keiki.   Gotta keep it in front of them cause it works when we work it.   Right on Kenny.  Glad it had that affect on you.  Would like at some time to sit with you and listen to your Mana...your spirit speak.   I know Davids.  I've listened to his and have had my own mana supported.    Mahalo   ((((hugs))))
