What am I grateful for TODAY????

Grateful challenge for Saturday.....I am grateful for the following:

The lessons I learned about perseverance and keeping up the work and giving outcome over to HP

That I came clean with my High School classmates about my being bullied and shamed b/c I had a terrible family and now they are reaching out to me to validate me and to apologize to me....I am chatting w/a few of them over email....it was sooo freeing to come out and tell my truth...Why I detached and save for a few, walked away with no further contact....

My needs are met for today and I did some little fixing up/cleaning around the house b4 I go for my swim at the gym....

I have plenty of food in my fridge and my pantry

I am warm, weather is in 60's today and tomorrow...yaaaaay!!! saves on the heat going off, LOL

I enjoy my SUV and my nice/cute new clothes.....

I have good bosses at my jobs (even tho one can be difficult) basically they like and respect me and my work

my children, pets are healthy and so am I

HAHAHA....too funny...One of the guy classmates with whom I am chatting, told me i was gorgeous LOL...I told him at 68, I will settle for "cute"  he stood his ground....My ego soared, LOL

I am grateful for the love coming my way of late....On this loving board and now from folks I never would have expected...All b/c I said what I meant..meant what I said and did NOT say it mean.....

I am meeting nice folks at the gym and am on my way to enjoy myself some more....

What are you all grateful for today

of COURSE  it was AL_ANON that caused me to transform...and for sure I am grateful for the things I learned

I just shared some happy things I have experienced this past week b/c  I was in such sadness in the beginning of the week...BUT b/c I kept open heart and mind and didn't give up on me, some happy stuff happened for me....its like life is giving me back some of which i was robbed...and I am grateful

I hope I didn't sound Like a braggart....I was just noting some neat things I was grateful for.....Recovering does NOT mean we can't enjoy and be happy.....I made the decision to be open to fun and happy stuff...and relish it b/c they too, do pass..............Just saying

You didn't sound like a braggart to me, Rosie. You sound like a woman who has been through hell and decided she wanted to learn how to live life richly and abundantly using all the tools she was offered to do it. Glad you're here. Glad you're healing.

I am grateful for good friends, life's lessons, the opportunity offered to re-create myself in this last leg of my journey towards wholeness and all the tools that have offered to me to do that, too.

Love you, Rose. Love to see you grow and grow and grow.

Thank you, Catherine....I am glad u saw it as it was meant to be portrayed (orig. post)  I just want folks to know that no matter what--there is always something we can be thankful for.....When I was sooo sad, I thanked creator through my tears for the love and support I got here at MIP........

and then there is the little stuff that may not be remembered or noticed that can bring a smile, like that flirtatious/sweet comment from my classmate...yea, it gave me a BIG giggle........

and yes, I decided I DO want to learn how to live my life richly and abundantly and I use my al-anon tools to do it.....

back at ya, sister

I am thankful for all of you who respond to me when I need it most. I am grateful for my loving family, my health, my pet and all of the wonderful things life has to offer. I am thankful for being challenged to learn and grow. Today the sun is shining the snow is melting and I am content.  Thank you Neshema for bringing this post to light.

You look great neshema. ditto what the others said.

I love gratitude lists.

I am first and foremost grateful to my God, for I know without him I would be unable to draw my next breath.

I am grateful for my church and my family.

I am grateful for the courage and strength to keep going even when I want to give up.

I am thankful for my Al-Anon family, both face to face and MIP, and I am thankful for my Al-Anon tool box.

I am thankful that I am as healthy as I am (even with my aches and pains).

I am thankful that I was able to see my Mom celebrate her 80th birthday today.

I am thankful for all things seen and unseen, for my past and present, and I am thankful for my future as this is where lies my hope.
