I'm a Monk . . .

I went to see my spiritual counselor yesterday and she told me to think of myself as a Monk, at the moment - basically to take care of myself and do my inner work.

I really like this image and it is already helping me.

I have been "praying without ceasing" when worry shows up and when I wake up in the middle of the night . . . it has helped, tremendously.

Also, instead of projecting fear into the future, I am changing my habits to focus on the present.

Instead of thinking of worse-case outcomes (as I have been doing), I am retraining myself to switch the channel when negative thoughts and feelings arise and replace images with best-case scenarios - to see the best in others, instead of the worst.

I had a sad dream about one of my children last night (just that wanting to hug a little pony-tailed girl who was sad) and I woke up with a sad feeling. I cried a little and now I am going to get on with my day and try to see the best in everything.

Wishing all of you a good day!

You know that may explain why I have deactivated my facebook page, kinda wished everyone happy holidays and a good new year and got off. Seemed like the right thing to do, two weeks ago, and I have not changed my mind about it since doing it.

It's really important that we take care of ourselves. My counselor asked me how I could make myself feel safe (after saying I felt unsafe) and I said retreating to my home - that is my sacred, safe harbor.

The Monk archetype is helping me see the withdrawal as positive . . . praying and elevating my vibration and taking care of myself. I like it!

Good work ohno You are a fast learner. It does work when we take care of our inner selves with constructive thoughts.
