Ok...

I'm not where I want to be yet, BUT thank God I'm not where I used to be.

Just keep working it because it works when you work it. smile

smile  One of the holiest/healthiest mentors of mine was speaking to a group about transformation.  She was sharing a story with us about her thoughts and a friend's on when they might have themselves put together well as young women.  They both thought when they got to their 40s, they'd probably be pretty much the way they wanted themselves to me.  My mentor then looked at the group and said:  "I am now 72 years old and I almost have myself together."  She died within a few years of that statement.  Maybe she had herself where she wanted herself by then?  Later, I asked another mentor of mine how this gal could have been so loving and wise as she was?  I'd never met anyone like her.  That mentor said, "She pulled back her projections."  I was in my 30s then.  I really didn't understand what he meant.  I think I do now.  Maybe I'll have myself pretty much where I want myself by age 72, too?  Good that I have a program, sponsor and the fellowship to help me change what I can and let others be.

Thanks for the thread, CS.  Helped me remember what I needed to remember today.
