My How my Life Has Changed!

I am so grateful for the Al-Anon program. Since joining almost six years ago, it has been quite a journey. Six years ago I was depressed and wondering how I would ever get out of the dark place that I had entered in my life. This month, I was offered a larger apartment in my complex after being on the waiting list for almost a year. And today I accepted a new job with a big salary increase. I am soooo happy and high on life right now. If you told me six years ago that I would be at the place where I am today, I would have asked you how much YOU had been drinking! With the support of this program, I have been able to put the focus on me. I put my trust in my HP and followed the path that He lay before me. And you know what? Through a lot of craziness, and loss, I am now in a place of serenity. Thanks for letting me share!

GE What a powerful affirmation !! I must say that I too experienced a very similar journey as the result of working this program, one day at a time, focused on alanon tools, and trusting HP.

Loved reading your thread, GE.  To me it speaks volumes on trusting our HP as S/He guides us through the "valley of travail."  Staying connected to that same unconditional love, wisdom and guidance daily even when times seem good is a blessing, too.  Thanks for sharing your experience with us.  I thoroughly enjoy true stories like these.
