When I pray which isn't often enough, I feel a sense of peace. It doesn't have to be a fancy prayer. It just has to mean something. Like the serenity prayer or please help me. Or God I can't do this alone. Thank you for being patient w/ me. I really started to pray more when I was ready for the 11th step. "Sought through prayer & meditation to improve our conscious contact w/ God as we understood Him, praying for knowledge for of His will for us & the power to carry that out." I am searching for God's will in my life. I am growing spiritually.

That's wonderful, Kathleen. I've used prayer most of my life. I find it calming and I can talk with God and unburden my soul.

I loved your share, Kathleen. I think there would be nothing more precious to God's ears than to hear us say, "God, I can't do this alone."

And when we pray in this manner and feel that peace, is it not priceless??

Now that I think about it, I believe I was doing step 11 before I even understood step 1.
